For now there's only one more question design-wise that I'd like to ask: is there any specific reason that you decided to keep gqview's violet folder icons (src/icons/folder_closed.png etc.) instead of using gtk-stock icons? To me that's the only thing that makes Geeqie a little inconsistent with the rest of the desktop.
