by channels you mean Left and Right channel right? So yourr saying that your mic is only coming into the LEFT or only the RIGHT side?
If this is so.. take the mic plug out of your soundcard look at the end of your plug and tell us how many black rings you see on the tip of the plug There should be TWO rings If not, there is your problem. your plug is a MONO plug you need a Stereo plug.
