Hi Bob, Thanks so much for the welcome. It is good to hear from you again. You are so right that we do need to find an airplane and do some flying. I also need to become more "radio active" again. I wonder how many on this list are also pilots other than you and I. I am having fun learning Linux, but am a SERIOUS newbie! I have managed a successful install of Mandrake 8.2, less the SoundBlaster PCI 128 card, but everything else is working. Now if I can learn now to make it talk to my network and how to get "stuff" installed on the desk top, I will be cooking. I am looking forward to the journey. --... ...--, Ed Richards N5VSK At 08:46 AM 5/17/2002 -0500, you wrote: >Welcome to Linux and the list Ed! > >73 > >Bob >kb5dgi > >You, Ronnie, and I need to find an airplane and go fly. > > > >Ed wrote: >>Cap'n, >> >>I have to agree with you completely. >> >>Ed Richards >>N5VSK - Amateur Extra - Not much of an HF setup at this point. >> >>At 09:46 AM 5/16/2002 -0500, you wrote: >> >Hi ALL, >> > >> >First of all, I wish to "Thank" ALL the members of the BRLUG-list for >> their >> >being >> >so helpful and understanding of newbies.
