I agree with Tim. Knoppix is ideal for demonstration,
but it will confuse newbies who want to install. IIRC,
DemoLinux can be installed from within the live
filesystem.

But, I would instead recommend RedHat and/or Mandrake.
Or, if I had to choose, Mandrake. I agree with you
Dustin that we need to keep it simple at first, and
add on later. So, what about just starting with one
distro: Mandrake 8.2? I think they would like to be
asked first about what we are proposing, since their
business model is centered around paid memberships. If
Mandrake says no, then RedHat would be the next
logical choice.

Also, I think we should investigate using one of the
"desktop" oriented distros that Ed has waxed
enthusiastic on: Lycoris and ELX. Most newbies will
have used M$ Windows prior to Linux, and both of these
distros aim at duplicating Redmond's look and feel. I
haven't yet played with either of these yet, but hope
to do so soon.
