This sounds just like my situation. I had cox cable internet from day 1 when they got it here in abbeville in 2000. Within the last 2 months we moved just out of abbeville and we are about a mile and a half out of abbeville going towards henry. We had the opportunity to rent my wifes parents house that is on about 50 acres since they moved to houston for job reasons. We are about 8/10 of a mile back off of the road and about a mile and a half down the road from where cox stops. Honestly I have to say that having broadband taken away from me is devistating. I miss it sooooo much, espically when i used it for remote adminstration of the libraries here in vermilion parish. Lucally i have a T1 at the library. I have been messing around with plans to try to shoot broadband from my moms cable connection which is about 3 miles down the road using a modified primestar dish ;) But man do I miss broadband.....31.2 dialup sucks! (31.2 on a good day)
