Looking at RAC for Oracle 9i. (running on RHAS) Shared Drivespace. Digging
info on people with the same cfg through Oracle has been fruitless and is
raising the wrong flags... looking at Dell's bundled package

Yes, I've managed a Linux cluster running with RHAS and it's not bad. We
were running MySQL in a fail-over configuration and Apache in a
load-balancing configuration and everything worked nicely. Something to
look at. We were basically using LVS. So, short answer: this is definitely
doable and has been done many times. There are alternatives to LVS for
Linux, but I haven't used them.

What was your plan? A hot standby? That should actually be pretty easy.
