I have some 6650's in my environment and they have the PERC 3DC controllers
in them.   the megaraid.o kernel module recognizes the underlying RAID. I
haven't fooled with any Linux userland utilities to monitor or manage the 
RAID -- I just used the internal BIOS on the card to set it up.  All of
Dell's servers should ship with drivers and management software for DeadRat 
so you'll be going easy.  No need to mess around with software RAID for you.
