I think COX does have a monopoly. I don't know of any other cable companies in the Baton Rouge area. Well use DSL you say? What about all those people who aren't close enough to their DSL provider to get DSL? If they want broadband at a decent price COX cable is all they have. I think satellite service is out of the ballpark. With a $100-$400 setup fee then $70/month afterwards someone would need to be desparate for broadband to go that route. Why not leave their network open and if someone is abusing the system then have a chat with that one person. Why block everyone for the problems of a small few? Brad B
