Hear! Hear! Sonja!

I totally agree with you. Educate the masses about the virtues of Linux.
It really SHOULD begin in Kindergarten or at least first grade. Our kids
are our future. But, keep them away from becoming "script kiddies" or
"crackers", LOL!

Linux is a viable alternative to the "Evil Axis", any company that would
take our hard earned monies, write crappy software and then NOT support it.
Uhhh, am I talking about MICRO$QUISH, $ymantec, & AOL? Hmmmmmmm.

The BRLug's effort to get Linux into the libraries is a great idea and I
applaude all of y'all efforts. However, at some point, it should be
expanded, slowly, to each parish school board and eventually to the State
government.

Using Linux software in school applications would save each school district
money from licensing fees that could be used more wisely to educate the
children, pay teachers more (GOD knows they don't get enough for what they
do),or buy necessary supplies, etc.(NOT to pay school board members or
"staff". They make TONS of money.)

The same could be said for the State of Louisiana government. I know how
crappy the State computer system is, LOL! They are hit daily with
viruses,etc.

This just might be an additonal "wake-up call" to the "Emperor of Redmond"
to clean up HIS act.

Already, Colone, Germany and some South American countries have switched.
Mr. Gates & Company have outright "lied" about what would happen if these
enities switched to Linux. Redmond has even tried to "outlaw" Open Source
here in the U.S.!

The Great God Gates and his ruthless band of cohorts see a crack in the dike
and it's about time the World gave "Billy Boy" the "finger", LOL!

Sorry for the unintended "rant". But you all see my point don't you?

"Flames" to me personally, Please.

"Cap'n Buck"
