Agreed, this is as it should be. I take this as good news, as it proves 
that an established company (Novell), will pay lots of money for a 
company that "gives" away its products, in a post-boom economy.

I hope Novell does something something good with SuSE. I don't have much 
experience with Novell products, but from what I know they at least know 
how to run a profitable company. SuSE has a great name for itself and 
this will add to Novell's position in the IT sector.

And besides, anything that keeps Ballmer up at night must be a good 
thing, eh? ;)
