Windows 2000 SP 1 broke my system. At first I thought it was because i did not pay for the OS *cough*long time back*cough*. but later found that it creating problems because of some conflict with zonealarm pro. at least in XP you can sacrifice some GB space to create "restore points" so that you don't have to reinstall the whole system. karthik
