Er, no, nothing > that strange has ever happened. ;) Since the release of at least OO.o 1.0.3 , ximian has added thier own patches to the source, and as of OO.o 1.1 Ximian-OpenOffice has been the only Openoffice source that I have been able to compile on the ppc. I'd call that competition brewing. As of October ~25th they anounced that Novell engineers have been added to the ximian-OOo team as well.
