I agree on the Chimay Ale... We used to get it at a bar out here - just had
to be careful with it - before they moved to the new packaging plant you'd
find a few foreign items every now and then (wood splinters in the dregs was
a problem).  Got hooked on Fuller's ESB at the same bar (they used to keep
it in stock just for us) - can't always find it around here anymore.

Sadly, I agree. American beer is like American
television: no taste. Some micro-brews are rare
treasures, but they are hard to find and usually far
away.

However, I have found an import at my local
Albertson's grocery that has become my favorite beer:
Chimay Ale. It is brewed by Belgian Trappist monks,
and it will give you an idea of what heaven is like.
Try it, you will not be disappointed.
