I do not have basic cable and I do not pay the extra $10 a month. Even before I got on the special deal they have for LSU. Plus when the install guy came out, I refused to let them touch my computer (they wouldn't know what to do anyway) since it was Linux. I got lucky, all I had to do was tell them on the phone that I had a "non-standard" OS and that I would do that portion. I verified that it worked before they left though... Shannon
