Try creating a disk image of it first with dd:

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=cdrom.img bs=512 conv=noerror,sync

Then see if enough of the filesystem structure survived to even mount it.  
And even then you may still have some corrupted data.  If that doesn't 
work try the library thing Adam mentioned.  Also, Gametraders in the mall 
offers a service to repair damaged game discs.  I assume they could also 
repair a data disc.
