I was asked to give a presentation on Linux at the local PC users group here
in New Orleans back in January. I was very well received, and they stopped me
about 3/4 of the way through my talk and peppered me with questions until my
allotted time expired. Almost to a man, the people I talked to that night
were disgusted with Windows because of the multitude of problems associated
with it. I brought Knoppix CDs to a meeting a month or 2 later (I'd forgotten
to bring them when I spoke), and 10 CDs went in like 2 minutes. From that
group, we've had at least 2 people visit NOLUG asking for help with Linux
installation, etc.
