Maybe that's because YOU use KDE ;) Notice I said IF. Does anyone know if > this is possible? The procedure is as follows. Create "launchers" for the programs in question. Create a new folder on your desktop. Drag the launchers into the folder. Drag the folder onto the toolbar. If you haven't used Gnome for a few years, you've missed out on probably the entire 2.x series. I'll admit that Gnome 1 wasn't anyone's cup of tea. 2.0 - 2.2 - 2.4 - 2.6 - and now 2.8 stable.
