Actually, on the average, you will find me most unreasonable when it comes to OS choices, average computer users, etc. I think I remember a conversation at a mexican restaraunt... However, on this one particular issue, I do understand that hardware manufacturers have IP tied up in hardware/driver development. At least it is better than it was in the 90s when NO vendor supported Linux. Those were not pleasant days. At least the two major players in the video card market provide binary drivers. And companies like SysKonnect provide drivers for their ethernet, etc. I just don't automatically hate a company if they don't cater to linux. However, they will not likely get my money unless I have no choice. Market forces decide... and there are niche companies that wholeheartedly support Linux (and for that matter Solaris, BSD, etc.) and they will get my money first. But, once again, not catering to Linux does not mean that it is crappy hardware. My $.04 Shannon
