Just wondering if anyone in the LUG has any ideas or comments on this.

We have COX business VOIP and Internet service - and we've noticed several
times now that we have days when the phones are very quiet - hardly anyone
calls and when the phone dos ring it is usually a disconnect as soon as we
pickup.

When we called COX the first time they "looked" at the system remotely and told
us that the "levels are too high" and sent someone out here to plug an
attenuator in series with the modem. It's happening again today - and someone
from COX is supposed to be coming out here again to "adjust the levels" ...

Does anyone actually know what the problem is? While I like the COX service
overall - well, except that it's expensive for what you get as a business - I'm
concerned that if the phone service can appear to be working but then turn out
not to be ... it's not too good for business.

We never had this much trouble with POTS...

Regards,
Edmund Cramp
