We use Cox for our normal phone lines at the office. No VOIP yet though because I was worried about reliability. Looks like I made the right call. Ha! The right call! HAHA! Uh.. nevermind, moving along.
On another note, we bought a TalkSwitch 480vs recently and it ROCKS. I think Ronnie and Steven will back me up on this. (Uh, back me up guys.) http://www.talkswitch.com/products/talkswitch_480vs.asp Oh, and it will support end-to-end VOIP and remote extensions via VOIP whenever we want to use that feature. -- Puryear IT, LLC Identity Management, Directory Services, Systems Integration Baton Rouge, LA * 225-706-8414 * http://www.puryear-it.com "Best Practices for Managing Linux and UNIX Servers" http://www.puryear-it.com/pubs/linux-unix-best-practices Edmund Cramp wrote: > Just wondering if anyone in the LUG has any ideas or comments on this. > > We have COX business VOIP and Internet service - and we've noticed several > times now that we have days when the phones are very quiet - hardly anyone > calls and when the phone dos ring it is usually a disconnect as soon as we > pickup. > > When we called COX the first time they "looked" at the system remotely and > told us that the "levels are too high" and sent someone out here to plug an > attenuator in series with the modem.
