It is not personal, it is just how business is done. They are using the legal system to further their market reach. If Baton Rouge, Louisiana was really worth it, you'd seen all kinds of big companies fighting for a piece of the pie. The #1 problem is the simple fact that all of these services are delivered using centralized distribution systems. Why do you think Tesla was so interested in the wireless transmission of electricity - and why the power barons were so against it? You don't see these issues in sectors that don't require transmission lines or pipes to reach the consumer. Instead of figuring out how to beat the lobbiests, figure out how to decentralize the distribution of these services.
