I was given twp laptops from Office Depot once by management because they were $300 cheaper than what I quoted out through Dell. The Office Depot staff assured managememt that it was exactly what was needed.
The laptops were woefully underpowered and needed about $600 in software to be suitable for our use. Since they were floor models, we could not bring therm back. Needless to say, management no longer buys laptops from Office Depot. On Oct 29, 2010 2:49 PM, "Jonathan Kulp" <[email protected]> wrote: [top-posting here] Really funny story! I bought my laptop at Office Depot 2-1/2 years ago and they didn't ask me anything. They actually let me boot the floor model from an Ubuntu live CD to make sure everything was compatible. When it worked, I bought it and they didn't harass me at all. Jon (Lafayette) On Fri, Oct 29, 2010 at 2:14 PM, Edmund Cramp <[email protected]> wrote: > > Yesterday I needed a... -- Jonathan Kulp http://www.jonathankulp.com _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://mail....
