A T1 at 1.5Mb for $300 when I can get that with a DSL line for $45.  Sure the 
uplink is lower but with two or three DSL lines I'd get much faster down and 
fasten enough uplink for half the price.  Plus a bit of redundancy...

I've used DSL, Cable and ISDN (and modems from 300 baud upwards) over the years 
and found that with some care they are all reasonably reliable - DSL is 
probably the best bang for the buck these days if you're a business with 
moderate needs, cable is nice but they hammer you on the cost versus what they 
offer home users - our cable bill was $240/month for 3Mb/500kbs and that was 
their "special offer rate" set to increase when our contract ended.

As for DSL versus U-verse ... it's just a rename of the same service in most 
cases, a 5Mb stream will handle one movie/TV stream no matter what the sales 
folk claim.  And fibre?  yes, we've heard of it but the last I heard our local 
monopolies didn't think that there was a market for it.
