Thanks Danny for your reply. I understand your concern. But this is something application specific. Lowering the weight of stop words will decrease the score for search result but still available into the search result. Any way I have the only option to remove it from the query.
Thanks again. But if it were me, I would not bother to remove stop words. The user typed it in for a reason, and I would just leave it in the query. -Danny From: [email protected] [ mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Abhishek53 S Sent: Monday, June 27, 2011 11:31 AM To: General MarkLogic Developer Discussion Cc: [email protected] Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] Marklogic Stop Word Hi Folks Old and familiar question related to the stop word implementation in Marklogic. I gone through the very old discussion related to the same topic (in the year 2009). Do I still have to follow the approach to remove the stop words from the query by using replace function ?. Can we have any other approach to do the same ? Thanks in advance !
