I understand your concern.  But this is something application specific. 
Lowering the weight of stop words will decrease the score for search 
result but still available into the search result. Any way I have the only 
option to remove it from the query.

If you want to remove stop words, you need to do it by removing them from 
the query.
 
But if it were me, I would not bother to remove stop words.  The user 
typed it in for a reason, and I would just leave it in the query.

Hi Folks
 
Old and familiar question related to the stop word implementation in 
Marklogic. I gone through the very old discussion related to the same 
topic (in the year 2009).
 
Do I still have to follow the approach to remove the stop words from the 
query by using replace function ?. Can we have any other approach to do 
the same ?
