Can you detail how you installed J806? Start from the wiki installation page http://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/System/Installation and tell us what you did and with what results.
Note that you should not have to uninstall a previous version, nor, as Bill says, should you get a reference to "8.05" when installing J806. Thanks.
