Sure, the developers are working together on *some* stuff, but the core products they are not and my original Tomcat arguments were that it was lame to have two different containers. I got proven wrong from the point of view that enough people wanted T3 to survive. I got proven right that T3 distracted a limited set of resources (ie: people) from T4. Centipede is to Tomcat 3 as Maven is to Tomcat 4.
