Salaamaat Jad Baig Your question is not very clear to me so here:
1- disable the web server running on the router (router conf) 2- _Port Forward_ port 80 on the router to port 80 on the internal box running apache. (router conf) 3- Make sure that you can access the net from apache box by setting routing correctly. (Linux conf) + NAT (router conf) ppl will access your apache using http://ro.ut.er.ip/ A NAT is for your internal boxes to reach the net using a signl gateway. A PORTFORWARD is to access a single service runnig behind the gateway. Portforwarding may be named differently by your device so be carefull. As usual, please report back what happens. :( Abdallah ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jad Madi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Jordan Linux User Group Mailing list" <[email protected]> Subject: [JoLUG-General] ADSL modem as router, and Web server Date: Sun, 12 Jun 2005 13:42:30 +0300 > > Hi, > I have Speedtouch 510 ADSL modem acting as router, and running fine > webserver . > > my problem is I cannot my web server visible to the world, people > getting 403 forbidden message generated by the modem not by the > apache. > > I have tried to set NATP tcp IP 80 but didnt work > any idea please? > > > > -- > Web standards Planet > http://www.w3planet.info/ > Personal Blogger > http://www.EasyHTTP.com/jad/ > EasyHTTP Network > http://www.EasyHTTP.com > > _______________________________________________ > General mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.jolug.org/mailman/listinfo/general_jolug.org -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://mail.jolug.org/mailman/listinfo/general_jolug.org
