thanks. Oleg was warning me in particular after I said I was dyslexic.

I am still looking for my Dictionary of J. Its not so much that I don't know how to use dictionaries as the length of time since I programmed or did mathematics and my usual initial shock of new symbols. Unfortunately the 2nd thing I came to was Help with Constants and I was more than little slow to catch on.

My musings were to share a naive view as I may always be this dense but I will not always be this naive. It sometimes provides insight to teachers and new approaches to see a student's mistakes.

The difference is that the Dictionary of APL just has the
dictionary, whereas the J Introduction and Dictionary
has an Introduction with lots of examples in lots of
problem domains as well as the dictionary, so you could
use the J Introduction and Dictionary as a learning source.

There is a paragraph at the beginning of Dictionary of APL, which
I could not find in Dictionary of J, that specifically warns
against using it as a learning source for beginners. Instead,
learning is suggested with practical activity by examples in the
subject area close to the learner. Whereas the dictionary
is meant to be a reference source.
