I have been looking at a few labs (again and again) and they are still in a
very strange stage.

I think they are vital part of J and I think it is a mistake to have most of
them in a very uncertain condition and not warn eventual/potential new users
about them better than what is done now.

They give a very bad impression when failing all over the place.

For me personally they seem to be improving even though ever so slowly and
there are very interesting and exciting things happening.

The JHS and GTK are so far away from each other that it is obvious that
there are not much interest in making efforts to make them work together.

They look and feel different.

I can see benefits of having them share folders but they are also a cause
for confusion when trying to execute in one something intended for the other
and causing failures.

As I said earlier then when choosing a lab there should be an indication in
what stage it is and if it is tested/finished and working in that particular
environment.

I am very pleased with the workings of grid as well as the graphichs in GTK
I am also very pleased with many things in JHS that are improving as time
goes by.

Marketing and informing users is not a major interest for many people
involved in J and amazing things happen if you keep digging.
