I am finding jgtk totally frustrating.
I have installed it on two machines. It has run on both. Now it starts on
neither. The error messages are different.
One one :
I had the problem Mike raised on 2/11/2001. Bill's answer was not clear
enough for someone who is a user not a full time programmer.
Raul's message displayed a console sequence displayed on my machine.
I have cleared everything out of folder .j701\gtk and reloaded the latest
gtk download zip file and extracted it.
I then restarted the j701gtk bat and still get the message it is not
installed.
After
install 'gtkide'
Updating server catalog...
cursor reappears in jconsole
To check
getgtkbin 1
runs and reports it has finished the install.
If I now run the J701gtk it just takes me back to the jconsole telling me
that jgtk front end is not installed.]
Where do I go now?
Back to J602?
