It will most probably be a good idea to have a separate set of labs for JHS and GTK.
The graphics capabilities are different and a question if each lab needs to test what environ they are in or if the lab is separate. The possibility for an individual user to make own labs needs to be easy even if few would do so I guess. If people start using the labs to create teaching material the labs may become an even more vital part of J. I see an option of setting up a server in a classroom that would let several students access the server via cheap machine with a browser. The server could be preloaded with teaching material of the kind labs can provide. They could also furnish a source for games and competition games and learning tools. These kind of systems could be a source of income for ISI as well for many others of us.
