9/11 had nothing to do with that.  The fact that the US govt couldn't
communicate intradepartmentally, nevermind, interdepartmentally, is what
caused it.  And once again, i've yet to see any evidence indicating that
Iraq has any plans to directly attack the US.  I'm far more concerned
about North Korea, a nation less than 1000 miles from Alaska, that
already has nuclear weapons.

and what grief is this?  all of a sudden its ok to allow some terrorists
to remain, yet not others?  That is quite perverse, to say the least.

Once again, i didn't realize that some terrorist organizations had a
right to exist, while others did not.  I'd call Al Qaeda a clan. 
They're certainly not a country, or a governing body.  

What about South & Central American drug cartels?  I don't see us
overrunning the governments of Mexico or Columbia in an effort to stamp
them out.  Surely you're not going to claim that far long running drug
wars aren't a problem for the US.
