Who cares if you can be imprisoned forever > without a trial, as long as you can carry a gun around before they lock > you up & throw away the key. <snip> If you read the 2nd Amendment and some background you'll find it was put in so State Militias could issue fire arms to the State Militiamen to take home so if the need ever were to arise that the Federal Government got too large and intrusive in local affairs the Militia could be called to arms to overthrow the Feds. Not for huntng, sport shooting or any thing else. This interpretation was re-affirmed in 1937 or 38 by the U.S. Supreme Court. The Constitution also gives the Supreme Court the responsibility to interpret the Constitution. Bob
