I have a whole mess of questions, I hope someone can help.
I've been tying to use the "demo" version of Genesis that came with my ariadne
II card. Then discovered a week or so ago that it's a crippled version. that,
after I had downloaded the upgrade to the commercial package, and installed it
on top of the demo version.
Yesterday I received the complete fully functional commercial version and
installed it over the old stuff. Now the questions....
>From a freshly booted computer, the first time I executed the GenesisPrefs or
Genesis, the program gurus with error#8000000A. If I suspend the program and
execute again, it appears to run OK after that.
This is not good. I fully expect my computer to be able to boot and have the
Genesis program run automatically and not have guru's interrupt things.
I also continue to get the 30 minute timed demo requester that first appeared
with the upgrade I installed over the "demo" version a couple weeks ago.
When I installed the full commercial version yesterday, I was NOT prompted for
a password or key file. I fully expected it to do so, should it have? Is this
why I get the 30 minute timed requester, or is the old program still lingering
around?
I am trying to setup my computer with both a ariadne ethernet link to 3 other
computers in my house and a PPP modem link to my ISP provider.
Should the IP address for both devices be the same? Or diffrent, even thou
both are on the same computer?
What do I put in the Gateway IP address field? If anything?
And what file(s) should I send as an attachment or cut-and-paste into these
emails to futher assist you folks in trouble-shooting my problems.
