Subject: [genesis] NTL (in GB)
Does anyone in NTL's UK-coverage area have any experience of switching from
BT or whatever to NTL's cable-service?
For everyone's information, I believe that NTL offers a service comprising:
1. cable-TV
2. Cable-telecoms
3. 56k modem-compliant internet connection
Hi,
No knowledge of NTL, but ATM, I use Telewest on a PC and an Amiga
No problems,I pay approx 40 per month for 2 telephone lines,Cable
TV,24Hourx7Days free internet access, and that also includes the first 10 in
voice call charges!(and cable to cable calls are free).
The cable modem option is faster, but not yet available in my
area.Apparently it will be approx 50 per month unlimited internet and about
5-10 Mbit connection!
You already have an internet connection ,so have a look at the relevant
website. The server info is usually available from there under "support".(I
never use install disks)
