Hi Jennifer, The Entrez Gene ID is in the refLink table, in the locusLinkId field (Entrez used to be called Locus Link). To get it from the Table Browser, select the RefGene table in the drop-down menus, and then select "output format: selected fields from primary and related tables." On the next screen, choose the refLink table in the Linked Tables section, and hit "allow selection from checked tables". Now you can choose the refGene.name field and the refLink.locusLinkId field.
The result will be a list of RefSeq IDs and their corresponding Entrez Gene IDs. -- Brooke Rhead UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group On 07/07/09 08:19, Barb, Jennifer (NIH/CIT) [E] wrote: > Is there a way to obtain an Entrez Gene ID for each RefSeq ID from the > RefGene table? > > Thank you, > Jennifer > > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
