Dear Genome browser, What methods are used to estimate the size of unsequenced portions of chromosomes (short arms, heterochomatin, gaps, centromeres, and telomeres)? For example the short arms of 13 and 14 are the same but 15 is longer. I also noticed that the telomere gaps are missing on chromosome 17.
