Oh, I just posted about my experiences with faulty fans and such, read
above :)

In my system-hang-case, this is however not related to the GC.
I can run for hours, even days, with 6.9.0, even play games (gzdoom, or
similar) and I will not get a lock up.
With 6.10 , I just wait 10-20min, then bang the system goes, no matter
what I do, or even if I do nothing :(
Going back to 6.9.0 solved the issue, I'm rock solid again.

Regarding the crashes I mentioned in the other post, well the GC goes
out to lunch (elsewhere) when you serve it 'high texture
detail'-settings in games like Half-Life 2. I enjoys 'medium' or
'low' though...
Some games, even crash immediately, and I'm guessing this is down to a
faulty pipe or something, which only gets used with certain
shaders/commands. But I guess having a nearly 5 year-old card, which
has always seen heavy duty, these things happen, especially when
you're greedy, and try over-clocking things... oh well
