A *much* better solution is to have upstream create a .desktop entry. I know that most people really don't like having bugs for the menu entries being filed, while others don't care either way. Personally, I'd add them, but going through and carpet-bombing bugzilla with trivial things such as this that really belong upstream will probably get at least somebody upset with you.
