This is really nit-picky but I guess I can't really think of anything 
solid to contribute to the Gentoo desktop because I love the way it is 
now.  After thinking hard about this the only thing I would like to see 
added, and granted this is more of an application specific/window 
manager issue, is a shortcut for the application I just emerged in the 
Gnome menu or KDE menu or whatever WM the users are using - with a 
pretty little Icon.  Other than that I think the real issue is, not 
desktop related per se, but how easy it is to produce/administrate 
Gentoo workstations/servers, a'la automated installs - I love Gentoo 
because it's mostly for Linux purists, does Gentoo want to go the RedHat 
route?
