Gentoo was pretty much the _first_ distro to support udev.
Sorry, bad wording on my part. The delay is with dropping devfs. We
aren't dropping it yet for good reason (because we have the best of both
worlds). I'm just suggesting that sometimes people get confused. We've
advertized it well, nothing we can do about it. This is much more of a
PR problem. Sorry to even bring it up.
