One thing that is very confusing trying to figure this out is which directory KDE is using. .kde3 or .kde3.1. I have been told on the KDE list that it's .kde3 but there are files in my .kde3.1 directory that seem to be getting used such as my /home/carlos/.kde3.1/share/conf/bookmark.xml file. At least my new user (junk) is working just fine. There are so many files in my KDE directories that seem to be relevant to Konqueror that it's a real pain to try and figure out which one's I should copy over. It's definitely not doing any good deleting or copying over konquerorrc by itself. What I am trying now is to reproduce the error in my new user and look through a terminal with "find /home/<new_user>/ -mmin -5" to see which files have been accessed to see which files I need to copy over. > Are you trying to open your home directory? I have tried opening my home directory. /usr, /usr/doc. All kinds. Konqueror closes out as soon as I try to view any directory through it. The same thing happens when I enter any directory into the Ctrl-F2 window. Konqueror opens temporarily and then closes right out on me. Before I even have a chance to do anything in it. I think I've discoverd a serious bug but it's a pain in the butt to track this one down. If I can just get my regular user going again I can then start doing what I did before to try and reproduce it. But so far I haven't been able to restore Konqueror for my regular user.
