Damn, 260 megs?? You got something going on there.. As you may already be aware.. Here is my pathetic machine with kmail.. top - 09:42:19 up 7 days, 23:31, 1 user, load average: 0.90, 0.92, 0.99 Tasks: 89 total, 3 running, 86 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 34.3% user, 7.5% system, 0.0% nice, 58.3% idle Mem: 126528k total, 80932k used, 45596k free, 1848k buffers Swap: 174648k total, 69500k used, 105148k free, 30464k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ Command 26393 tradergt 9 0 20624 19m 16m S 3.1 16.2 0:55.61 kmail mine is not using anywhere the memory your using.. If I am reading it right... I don't even have that much memory I could use without locking the pc.. Which btw could be your problem. Have you always had kmail up? Or maybe something kmail is using.. I didn't compare it to world to see if its just doing all of kde and the dependencies.. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/0fpPld4MRA3gEwYRAq9vAKCb6NJKAfY9G8UVa0i8OV3HDOXvdQCg0+Ou i3MtqbxHqGDbmjsSuvvLNR0= =+Bpg -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
