   Thanks for the clarification on methods.

   Is this binary only drive a message that ATI is not going to release Open
Source info anymore? That would be disappointing. Or is this just a
temporary issue driven by things that we don't need to know about. I have
always been a bit more comfortable with ATI under Linux feeling that some
smart programmer would step up if there was a big issue that needed to be
addressed.
