You restarted X after adding the lv3 thing to xorg.conf? You can try this to avoid restarting X: setxkbmap -layout de -option "compose:menu,lv3:ralt_switch" That will set up things so composing uses the menu (windows) key, and level3 uses right alt. > I don't understand, why if it's worked today (with xorg 6.8) now doens't > work more?
