I suspect the free space was used up by a temporary file created by CD Creator. Since 
it didn't end normally the temp file wasn't released.  Look in your temp directory and 
delete everything more than a few minutes old. Running applications may own some of 
those files, so make sure you close everything first.

You can find out which is your temp directory under System|Environment in the control 
panel.

I can't venture a guess why CD Creator failed in the first place. I do remember having 
some trouble getting my own copy to work though. Make sure you download the latest 
drivers and versions from their web site. My own version, which works OK under NT sp5 
is 3.01b, which I downloaded from their site a year or so ago.
