We currently use the module for our projects, so we are currently mantaining it for our purposes, so I'm surely interested in mantaining it and transform it in an extension.

I usually use the maven cobertura plugin. Basically just run mvn cobertura:cobertura. I just ran it and it gets good coverage. See the attached image.The only requirements are really a maintainer, some docs, and some test coverage. I think you have most of it covered. I see some tests in module, any idea of what percentage of test coverage is achieved?Sincerely, I don't know the percentage. Do you use any tool to measure it?
On another note. I noticed that the code does not compile in Java 5. Any objections to removing the Java 6 dependencies? All it needs is a to remove the calls to Arrays.copyOf().
