Hi all,
I'm pretty new to geoserver, although what I've seen so far is
impressive, however, I'm not sure I have bitten off more than I can chew
here so any advice here would be extremely welcome.
I'm working on an OpenLayers web app, using SQL 2008 to do the more
complicated spatial calculations and so on. What I have been tasked
with doing now is adding in thematic WMS layers to show exposure level
etc. Now so far I have been able to download, install, and create WMS
from SQL 2008 Server, and now I need to make this a more dynamic
affair. I have downloaded Maven, and Eclipse and successfully install
these (which seems to have disabled my original instance of Geoserver)
and can display the demo WMS layers in OpenLayers, but I am almost
completely at a loss as to how I:
a) install the JDBC driver
b) add the SQL patch/module for Geoserver to Eclipse
c) add any custom data to Eclipse
...and so on.
Any help what so ever would be extremely welcome! I have been through
the documentation and it still doesn't seem at all clear.
Thank you all in advance
Chris
