Sorry for the rant Justin... trying to port back a test and discover
none of the test do pass because I did use the new filter API and 
filters are not being applied was not very nice :-) I should have waited 
a bit longer before writing the mail and try to understand why the
code was not called :-p. It may just be a bug in an abstract class
that does hit quite a bit of usages...
I guess the thing is, I did run filters in memory, whilst WFS 1.1
stuff hits sql converters instead (and never runs filters).
