At the moment I can only symphatize and tell you that I'm too having
troubles dealing with the current situation.

I cannot tell you  what we're going to do (as OpenGeo), but next
week we're going to have an OpenGeo summit in New York and certainly
the relationship between GeoServer, GeoTools and OpenGeo will be
a topic.

Hopefully after discussing it we'll have a solid opinion on what
to do next (or at least a set of options), and with enough resource
backing to take whatever road we might decide to follow.
